BBC Autum Season

I'm still annoyed we got no Hustle yet.:(

I thought Hustle had been cancelled? I must admit I didn't like the last series as much. Danny Blue in charge was a stretch, I missed Adrian Lester, and the new guy they got in was a terrible actor!

Looking forward to Spooks, and Survivors and reckon I'll give Merlin a go.

Nah, hasn't been cancelled, and this series Mickey is back, but Danny and Stacey are gone. They are talking about doing a big screen movie with the full cast, though.

Finally someone else who's interested in Survivors, I recently watched the first series of the original, and it does seem ripe for a remake, I just hope they can do the idea justice.

Hustle without Danny and Stacey but with Mickey back? Shame that as would have been nice to see all of them again- minus the new kid who I hated!

I've never seen the original of Survivors so I'm intrigued as I love post apocolyptic stuff- plus it was Terry Nation. Depends who well it's done though.

I'm a great beleiver in/defender of the BBC, but some recent shows have seemed to have a lowering of quality (Bonekickers. Spooks: Code 9)

Same here, I think the BBC is worth the licence fee. But to be honest, I think Bonekickers and Spooks: Code 9 aren't really that bad, sure they're not fantastic, but Bonekickers was an odd concept to start with, it's a shame it didn't work, but I can't really say I thought it would work anyway.
Spooks: Code 9 is aimed at Tweens, and to be honest, I find it to at least be bearable, nothing fantastic, but nothing too terrible either. Although that fucking flagwaving transition is getting on my nerves.

when it comes to shows like Bonekicked & Spooks Code 9, the BBC at least tried. Better to try and fail and not try at all, what I dont get is why BBC 3 wasted all that money on the shows website, when the show was this bad.

Survivors maybe, but im meant to be cutting down on the TV I watch, or at the very least not starting any new shows

Didn't you say that the last 2 years running?

I'm still getting over how the BBC are going to produce a show called Robin Hood without a character in it called Robin Hood.

How's that? He doesn't leave till the end of the series, and there's been no word on if there's a 4th.

Best way to do this if you have not already, is get a partner who loves the soaps, nothing will turn you off TV more than it being tuned to this crap on a nightly basis 5 days a week, of course you cant complain because that would mean no more sex ever.:lol:

Thank god for the Net, some type of console and video on demand.

 yes, TV is just my weakspot.

Well, the first "review" I've seen for Survivors is on TubeTalk, looking good.

Two words to describe 'Survivors'

"Bloody brilliant."

Last night I went to a screening of the extended 90-minute premiere of BBC One's new apocalyptic drama Survivors feeling slightly worried.

Slightly worried that perhaps I'd built my hopes up too much and that I might fall victim to the very hype I'd helped create. Disappointment seemed inevitable, and I would spend the latter part of the evening crying into a bowl of cold miso soup.

As it turns out, I needn't have worried. Survivors - or at least, the premiere of Survivors - is great. It ain't faultless, it ain't the best thing ever to have graced the small screen but you can safely allow yourself to get excited without fear of being let down.

Unfortunately, dastardly press embargoes prevent me from saying much more until nearer the programme's transmission, which is likely to be another month yet. But watch this space!

like I would read the review of an ITV show, however Tube Talk is normally positive about this kind of show, it wants them to be good, but that wont stop some of its after episode reviews being negative
