BBC Three is to be dropped from TV schedules and will move online, as part of the BBC's cost-cutting plans.

It means shows such as Don't Tell The Bride and Pramface will only be available through the iPlayer, rather than Freeview, satellite or cable.

I'll admit not that bothered by the axing of BBC 3.
I feel that a lot of programmes on BBC3 and 4 could be shown on BBC1 and 2 if they cut down the number of repeats.

Can't say i will personally miss it, last time i watched BBC3 on any regular weekly basis was for Little Britian and Come fly with me, stuff that could have very easily been broadcast on BBC2.

Yeah, hopefully Orphan Black will transfer to BBC2. It's good for old (nu) Who episodes, but not like I can't watch them elsewhere.

Even when it did do something worthwhile it often didn't follow through. I wasn't the greatest fan of The Fades, but a lot of people really liked it, and it drew in a lot of viewers, but because the demographic didn't fit with the young and twendy vision of BBC 3 it was scrapped.

BBC 3 online.

Because all those under thirty's watching their TV online, actually aren't...
