Battlestar Galactica Board Game

Hi, all...

I wanted to do a shout-out to see if anyone here on the Trek BBS is a nuBSG fan who would be interested in joining/forming a group of regular players for the Battlestar Galactica board game?

The game requires up to 6 players, and so far my friend and I are planning on playing, so there are two players so far. The game requires up to several hours to play, and is a very serious and in-depth gaming experience. I own the base game, and the Pegasus expansion, and plan on getting the Exodus expansion when it becomes available. The problem is that my friend and I are in Los Angeles, and I would like to find people close by that would be interested in participating in weekly games, or maybe monthly.

We are specifically in Torrance, California, so if there is anyone nearby here on the Trek BBS, who'd be interested in joining us and forming a BSG game group, please PM me, and I will contact you, and we can begin to plan an event. Thanks!

I'm nowhere near you (and sorry, wouldn't be interested anyway), but if you wanted to, could you run it through Vassal. You'd just have to check out their module to see if it would work for you.

Hah, Vassal looks like an interesting solution - if somewhat gray!

The game itself looks cool but there's no way I could get people to play it locally. Good luck and have fun though.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys... I had a feeling most people here would not be in my local area, but my friend suggested I try the forums before posting a sign at my local comic shop. I'll keep you guys posted on the games, if we manage to get a small group together.

I've been musing picking this up after the holidays.
Can anyone elaborate on the gameplay? The reviews I've read aren't very enlightening.

I bought the game a while back, and have yet to even play it. D'oh! But nah, ain't driving up to LA for a board game.

Board Games With Scott did an hour video of people just playing the game. Essentially it's a goal oriented game but, of course, two of the players are Cylons. You have to both survive the trip and find out who the Cylon players are if you are one of the human players and obviously, if you are a Cylon you have to try to stop the humans.

If you know of a comic book shop in San Diego that can accommodate/host game playing events, I would totally be willing to drive down there along with my friend for a game once a month or so, if you'd be willing to play the game with us.

I've been blessed to a nice big group of friends who are truly hooked on the game, we actually have a waiting list for people who want to give it a try. We try to play at least once a month. We're really excited for the Exodus expansion.

I will certainly check that out then, but 4 players minimum?? Am I reading that correctly?
