Aw, man.

I loved Steve Landesburg, and his character Dietrich. When I was a kid, he was one of the actors I was frequently compared to. We looked alike (even more so now that I'm older), we had a similar sense of humor and similar mannerisms. He always cracked me up on Barney Miller.

The moment I remember the most was when he talked about cockroaches. He went on and on about the virtues and resiliency of cockroaches, remarking on how they would outlive and survive any other species on Earth, even in the event of a nuclear war. Then suddenly he stomps his foot on the floor and deadpans, "Got that sucker."

RIP, Mr Landesburg. You were wonderful, and one of a kind.
