Backstory Dr. Nicholas Rush (Robert Carlyle) (minor spoilers)

Carlyle shares some more info about his character, Dr Nicholas Rush, in the The Official Stargate SG-1/Atlantis Magazine.

Gateworld has some excerpts.

Rush finds himself trapped on the Ancient ship in a distant galaxy in the show’s premiere. But unlike the rest of the team, he doesn’t want to go home.

We already knew he had his own agenda, so not that much new stuff, but it's nice to hear that his counterpart is going to be Colonel Everett Young (Justin Louis). So hopefully that means he's not going to be a total whimp.

I feel as if I’ve been given something of a reward for 25 years of hard work in the business because this is just a terrific experience

And it's good to know he doesn't mind being in the sci fi scene. Might change though once he meets the fans

They also have a first episode photo up. Looks like we're going to see more in the coming weeks, besides the dark images and teaser we've had thusfar.
