Remember the Back to the Future video game announced a few months back, set to be developed by Telltale Games, the company responsible for recent Sam & Max and Wallace & Gromit games? Well, by way of USA Today, we now have some details! The current official site is located here.

Bob Gale, who wrote the screenplays for the three films, is working with the game developers on the plot for the planned five "episodes".

I posted this in the video game forum...thought it was more appropriate but yeah it's fun news. I like the concept art of Marty and Doc.
 
Well most of us who grew up in the days when BTTF was still NEW and not "Retro" - they had the shittiest video games based on it. I played them and rented them but even to a rabid BTTF fan I hated them with a passion, they were soooooo farking boring and hard! Horrible graphics even for the NES.

If it's anything like the Strong Bad game - which I really enjoyed actually - it should be fun. Be nice if it was as much a "puzzle" game as it is a movie game. Where you find certain items and talk to people the right way and things progress. Although they HAVE to have a driving portion where you can fly or drive the DeLorean. Maybe a point and click kind of interface where you can mess with the time circuits and such.

I'd buy it! Hell I'd pre-order it!
 
a special ‘making of’ video feature on Back to the Future: The Game’s official website. First footage is shown in the video with Christopher Lloyd revisiting the role of Doc Brown in the recording studio and talking about his experiences while making the game.

a shot of concept art, and right at the end of the video is two lines Lloyd says in the recording studio with split screen to the animation of the Doc in the game.

The game is reported to initialize from nearly six months after the occurrences in third movie of the series, while Marty and Doc will board a new time travel adventure in a story that unfurls throughout five episodes with a new chapter releasing every month. Back to the Future: The Game
