Back to the Future: The Musical coming in 2020

They announced a little while back that they are going to be doing a Back to the Future musical in England next year, with it first starting in Manchester, before moving to London's East End after that.
They released the first original song, Put Your Mind To It, yesterday.

I loved the BTTF movies as much as anyone,but this doesn't excite me, although I'm sure it will be a well done production.

But I'm trying to think if there has ever been a musical theater production of a TV show. If they ever did, however, I cannot think of a better vehicle than Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'd love to see them use the established songs with maybe new arrangements and some added songs.

Watching the Tony Awards and the presentations from Hadestown and Beetlejuice, all the drama, horror, and angst in Buffy seems perfect for the stage.
