Babelcolour does it again...

YEAH! That tribute is downright amazing! I think this guy really understands Doctor Who in a way most fanvid makers don't. Keep on truckin' dude ...

Yeah, Babelcolour is definitely one of the best in the game. I'm forever clicking on "Doctor Who Tribute videos" and seeing either videos that only focus on one era of the show, or use some uber-sappy song like "That's What Friends Are For" or the sound track. Or of course the many love song videos for the Doctor and Amy, Doctor and Rose, Doctor and Rory, etc etc. Or they're slideshows (get a blog if you're going to post pictures - Youtube is for moving images). And of course there's the many videos that simply recycle clips from the "Thank for the Memories" video on DW Confidential (some even claim it as their own!). Every episode is either available on DVD or can be downloaded, so anyone wanting to make a video has no excuse in reusing other people's edits. What's great about Babelcolour is he (she? I assume it's a guy but you never know) tends to use clips that aren't overexposed, giving the videos an added freshness. And he (she?) avoids the sappy music most of the time (I'll forgive it for the Courtney and Sladen tributes!)

I love the use of unexpected clips in this, such as one or two I recognized from The Sarah Jane Adventures, and even the Christmas 2009 promo ad David Tennant made as the Doctor (I bet some viewers are trying to figure out where that one came from!). The only thing missing is a clip from Torchwood and there's probably one hidden in there somewhere!

Oh my......... this guy has the talent and the tools, but most importantly the understanding to produce superb fanvids.

Wow. Nice choice of clips and outstanding integration. Thanks for the heads-up on this, EMH!

I wonder if this Babelcolour guy has professional experience with editing? Everything is so crisp and spot on, not only between clips but with the music as well.

BTW..... who is the artist and what is the title of the song played here?

ETA:  - I just saw the end of the vid.

is the scene at 1:42 of Eleven throwing a bunch of papers over his shoulder from the promotional clip Matt Smith did for the 'writing for Doctor Who' competition?

What a great video. The song is fantastic, too. Babelcolour may have just introduced me to a new favorite artist! :D

Is he the guy that started a serial called 'The Eleven Doctors'? It was incredibly well done.

Which serial called 'The Eleven Doctors', there are a few.

Man, I must've watched that "What About..." Tribute video at least a dozen times since this morning. Been humming the song all day.

Very Cool.

The Ten Doctors, before Matt Smith came along, yes.

Credit where it's due; this video was inspired by a similar one set to the same song by a user called Calapine 4 or 5 years ago, which was a favourite of mine that I'd forgotten about recently, and which Babel acknowledges in the Info. :)
