Awesome Video Game Music!

Greetings everyone and Happy Tuesday.

There's some cool video game music out there. Some of my favorites are some tracks from Super Smash Bros, Shantae, Shovel Knight, and WoW. What are some of your favorites?

I like how some WoW music tracks are more ambient like when you're exploring a cave and more cinematic tracks from the raids. Some of the zone music is really nice too, like Stranglethorn Vale and Howling Fjord.

Some music from Shantae is awesome too, like The Demon King Awakens from the Pirate's Curse.

Some unused musical scores from published and unreleased games are interesting too, like some unused tracks from Super Mario Galaxy.

I like the Halo music and own most of the later Bioware sountracks (Mass Effect and Dragon Age series in particular)

My brother and I always loved "Aeris's Theme" from Final Fantasy VII; I remember us spending a lot of time trying to pick out the notes on a piano.

Assassin's Creed 2 is probably my overall favorite video game soundtrack. Perfect mix of relaxing exploration music and non-annoying action tracks.

Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Both quite brilliant.

The DX mod The Nameless Mod has a well above par soundtrack, too.

Oh yeah, the OG Deus Ex soundtrack is quite brilliant, and HR pays a great tribute to it in a way.

Yea it's pretty cool. Only have the first game in the series so far though.

I also like the music from FF: X. A nice mix of different kinds of music.

The Halo series (the main action theme had a great, and rather iconic military hero motif to it).

Star Trek Bridge Commander

Tower of Guns

Metal Gear Solids 3,4, and 5 (From 3, I love the song "Snake Eater". It sounds like something that belongs in a mid to late 80's James Bond movie. It was heard toward the end of MGS4, and is a playable cassette audio in MGS5.)

Assault Rigs (PS1).

Phantasy Star Online (Xbox). Loved a lot of the music in there, some of which seemed to be inspired by Donald Fagen and Steely Dan.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The main theme is just stirring.

Any Star Wars game. I don't know why, but for some reason...can't quite put a finger on it.... it just sounds so familiar.
