Decided to start reading as many Avengers comics as I can get my hands on today. I don't think I've read anything other than one of the early X-Men comics where they face off against the Avengers for some reason.
Issue #1 Lee/Kirby
The Avengers: Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man, Iron-Man (Wasp just follows Ant-Man around.
The Villain: Loki (Thor's half-brother)
This is a pretty typical tale of the time. Loki is after Thor's attention, so he tricks the Hulk into destroying some train tracks so Thor will come find Hulk. The others, including millionaire

Tony Stark are not intended to be drawn out into the open. Thor manages to defeat Loki and everyone decides to team up and become the Avengers... in literally about two frames. No objections at all - even from the Hulk.
Anyway, I liked it. Waiting for Captain America to show up...
Are the any particular outstanding issues or series involving the Avengers that I should look for?
