Question: At the end of "Bride" episode of Smallville we see someone I'm presuming is Lex. Will Michael Rosenbaum be making his return to Smallville anytime soon? -- Gilles

But he does these types of things in his spoilers and such so it leads me to believe there is a decent chance he'll come back to the show or they are at least making an effort to have him come back.

Nope. The said they were hoping to get Rosenbaum to return.

LOL--that means a yes, he will return. Lex should be more of a recurring character than a regular in any Superman series anyway.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. He may return, but I recall reading that he was very happy to leave the show and pursue other projects (he was worried about being typecast as Lex Luthor) around the time of the Season Finale last year.

Well. Ausiello would generally just say "no, he's no coming back" if there wasn't at least a small chance of him doing so or soemthing that was percolating aroudn as a real possibility. The "I gotta choose my words carefully part" is very deliberate.

I'm hoping he's coming back as well. Certainly, that final scene in 'Bride' was quite a tease, and if there's no pay-off to that scene, a lot of fans are going to be pissed, myself included.

OTOH, if the rumors about the show going into a 9th season are true, Lex's return could be held off until then. Who knows?

Hopefully he'll return. I thought he left a big void during the first episode but thankfully the characters of Tess and Davis have filled the void nicely. Still, nothing beats Lex Luthor. Especially Michael Rosenbaum's version.
