Thought I'd go ahead and show what little progress I have on my entry. I only thought of this a week ago, so I didn't have anything in mind when I came up with this month's challenge.
This is only part of a larger scene, depicting a hangar planetside. I'll be putting some people in later running towards the ships/fighters and getting them ready, just like a contemporary fighter scramble. I figure it's got a tenuous connection to the theme, so why not?
As you can see in the background, I made a really rough Sketchup model to help guide me as I paint this in GIMP. This has been really slow going, so hopefully it will get finished by the deadline. If not, I still plan on finishing it.
