ATTENTION: Not every little thing needs a thread.

I know everyone's excited that there's a Star Wars forum again, and everyone's excited about The Force Awakens coming out in a month, but the thread traffic in here is getting a little ridiculous.

For example, I see separate threads for trailers and TV spots. That's not necessary. There are separate threads for your favorite movie and your favorite prequel movie. That isn't necessary, either.

Not every little idea or question needs its own thread. Before you start a thread, ask yourself: "Could this fit in one of the zillion other threads currently active? Is this going to spark new and interesting discussion?"

For example, someone could start a "Star Wars questions that don't deserve their own thread" discussion. Things along those lines.

I guess this quashes my intent to start a thread asking if anyone out there thinks any of the characters in the movie will have an umlaut in their name.......
