Asterix the Gaul animated series coming from Netflix

This might be of interest to a few of you here. Best news I've had all day. I've been an Asterix fan since I was a little kid. Can't wait for this!

Netflix to produce Asterix the Gaul series.

I'll keep an eye on that. Would have prefered 2D animation, though. And Alain Chabat's previous "Mission: Cleopatra" movie was terrible.

The Netflix guy giving examples of how much he loves Asterix would be more believable if he didn't refer to the animated films as "specials".

According to the article, they will be adapting 'Asterisk and the Big Fight,' from 1964.
