I was also thinking about settings that would still be possible and interesting (not including any meta story requirements)

As far as i can recall we have Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, Middle East, Italy, Revolutionary War, Carribean, French Revolution/Paris and London as settings, did i miss some?

Personally i'd be interested in a China setting (with some cool Martial Arts combat system) and maybe a modern setting - maybe one of the World Wars (though that has been played to death by so many other games) or a truly modern, contemporary, setting in the present.

Anyway.. let's be Vikings first!

Spain, sort of.
Persia has been mentioned but it hasn't been playable yet. I don't think they'll keep going that far back now, unless there's an actual precursor game. which would be interesting.
