Askmen.com - Top 5 Daniel Craig Replacements for 007

That article is more overreactive then most posters here. One bad movie -- Bond is dead! He survived Moonraker, but this was disaster.

Uhh.... Craig's still coming back for more though. And Clive Owen will be too old by the time Craig hangs it up. Does Christian Bale still want to be Bond now that he has one franchise under his belt and possibly two?

Oooh, John Hamm. Why didn't I think of that.

But it would be a shame to see his acting talents wasted in a bunch of silly spy movies.

I think they were running short of Top [blank] subjects. QoS was well-received and a hit so they're smoking something. Craig is awesome and here to stay for the next few years.

5 - Annoying tiny Scottish person.
4 - American.
3 - Love the guy but it's stunt casting.
2 - American.
1 - Should have been picked in the first place, bridge burned.

Even though I was disappointed with the new movie, I still enjoyed Craig in the role. The movie suffered from a messy plot, not from the casting.

If they'd offered it to Owen when Brosnan left, he might have taken it. I don't think he wants to be anybody's second choice.

^Standard contract for big franchises is three these days, but it might be different in Craig's case.

Screw the Bond stuff.. did you see those smoking hot Japanese girls with the big racks? Some fo the most beautiful women in the world there. :techman:

5 - Annoying tiny Scottish person.

According to the results Google gave me he's either taller than Daniel Craig by half an inch or one inch shorter. Either way not a significant difference. Personally I don't find him annoying at all.

"cutting a foot chase with an opera scene? Blegh"

Yeah, ugh, wouldn't want any culture in our Bond movies, now would we? Enough said about that article.

5. Just no - doesn't have any sense of mence - he could play a male moonpenny that's about it...

4. American, would struggle to act his way out of a paperbag

3. Stunt casting - the only thing I saw him in was that shitty b-move serneity and everyone was uniformly awful in that.

2. never heard of him, no comment.

1. Would be 50 or so when he started....
