Kutcher taking Twitter hiatus after gaffe over Paterno firing
  • Ashton Kutcher has enlisted a team of communications specialists to help him manage his Twitter feed after he ignorantly tweeted a message in support of fired Penn State football coach Joe Paterno.

"Clearly the platform has become too big to be managed by a single individual," Kutcher, 33, wrote in a statement Thursday.

The...hell...?

Okay, he said something apparently ill-informed. But that means he needs to set up a "communications team" to handle his tweeting for him?

What...a...maroon.

You say this as if he were the first celebrity to think of this.

I always assumed most celebrity Tweets/Facebook Updates were done by people other than the actual celebrity.

That, and since he is a celebrity, he's going to get a much higher than average return tweets for anything he says. It's just smart business to have handlers for that.

It would be great if he hired one adult, and one child to help manage his tweeter with him.....that would mean.......no....no......i wont point it out.

Oh come on, its a bit funny. LOL

That's the thing about society, only the informed has any right to speak their mind, and popular opinion will always do what they can to drown out and shut down unpopular opinion.

Oh, the uninformed certainly have the right to speak their mind, but the rest of us have the right to either ignore them or tell them that we think they're wrong.

well, he was taking the side of the enabler in a rape situation...probably not the best position to take. in some situations there are many positions, but in this case there is a right and a wrong.

It doesn't surprise me the slightest that - as soon as he's star of a big comedy show - buzz around him is generated with bad tweets, rumors that he cheated on Demi Moore, etc...
