Saw the trailer in front of Muppets what awful imported animation.

I have to say, it's one of the few trailers that made me almost-tear up inside. I'm greatly looking forward to watching this movie. As well, two of the voice actors in the American version are Amy Poehler and Carol Burnett, and that's just icing on the cake for me.

I'm not particularly familiar with Amy Poehler's work, but Carol Burnett is an awesome actress. That's great news.

I bought the DVD a few weeks ago. It's a great anime with the unique Studio Ghibli flavor.
After watching it, I only wanted to lie on the grass with a cat and a good book, like the boy in the anime

Is that the one with the tiny people? I thought the story looked good, but yeah on the big screen the animation did look awfully simple, like a cartoon from the 80s or 90s that got blown up way too big.

Yes, it's this one.
I didn't see something wrong with the animation. Without being spectacular it has the usual quality of the Studio Ghibli.
But I'm maybe biased : I'm really fan of the Studio Ghibli, I prefer them over Pixar for exemple

It's an anime take on The Borrowers. It's been getting great reviews anywhere I've seen.
