Arrghhhh, a very painful triad this week on SPIKE for DS9

  • The Storyteller *** -- When O'Brien and Bashir beam down to a Bajoran village, the community selects O'Brien as their next Sirah--expecting him to save them from a menacing entity.
  • 5/10/1993. Progress *** -- Kira finds herself in a difficult moral situation when her job demands she force an adamant Bajoran man from his home in the name of progress.
  • 5/17/1993. If Wishes Were Horses

Not sure what you are getting at...is it just these are two/three of your least favourite episodes?

Dunno...there's some really good acting in Progress

'Progress' certainly isn't an episode I'd dole out to an up and coming Trekkie. But personally I enjoy it.

'If Wishes Were Horses' sucks. But I enjoy it for one big reason; It introduced Sisko's baseball.

"The Last Storyteller" isn't so bad. "Progress" is one of the best episodes of the first season.

But it'll be a cold, wintery weekend with ice-rink skating in hell before I defend "If Wishes Were Horses".

I like Progress quite a bit.

The other two I could definitely live without. Not one of DS9's finer moments in either case.

The Storyteller is simply awful. I laughed a little bit when that village's fate was mentioned in the DS9 Re-launch.
I always liked Progress. Mullibok was a very sympathetic character. Now, It's sad to watch it and realize that Brian Keith committed suicide a few years later.
I never understood If Wishes Were Horses. Who were the aliens? What was the point of the whole episode?
Plus, why is Buck Bokai fat and short? He's supposed to be a professional athlete. Why couldn't the casting people find an athletic looking actor?

What about Tony Gwynn? He wasn't short, but he was as chubby as Bokai, and he was a first ballot hall-of-famer.

Of those three episodes, I don't think any of them are awful, but Progress is the only one I really like.
