Sounds like this intriguing idea for a show might actually make it to the screen.
Chabon's involvement already had me interested, and now I'm even moreso.
I like it when any historical period, especially pre-1950, becomes the a basis for a TV series. We need more of those. This one in particular sounds like it could be a lot of fun and WWII certainly hasn't been over-exposed as a topic for TV series, particularly taking such an unusual (and almost certainly ahistorical) slant.Darren Aronofsky...has also come on board an HBO drama series project, which has been in development at the pay cable network for the past several months. Titled Hobgoblin, the drama is being written by the husband-and-wife duo of Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman and sounds like Inglourious Basterds with magicians. It revolves around a group of con men and magicians using their skills of deception to help defeat Hitler during World War II.
