Arguments Tuvix should have made to live.

Guy Gardener

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
"Neelix Spits in your Coffee Kathryn."

"Neelix knew Kes was just about to dump him when he said you couldn't have her Tom."

"I just put in for your promotion to Lieutenant JG Harry."

Oh dear god I remember that Episode. It was dreadful. Similitude was about 1000 times better, Tuvix should have been killed, the episode that is, before it went to air

? Why? That was a good episode.

Argument : " I'm made of corbomite. If you kill me, I'll explode and blow up the ship."

"It's not your decision anymore Captain, it's mine. If you don't like it, drop me off at the nearest planet."

"Think about it... You've got me now, Captain. I cook AND I can fire phasers. Do you really want to risk having Neelix on your ship for the next 75 years?"

Agreed with it being one of Voyager's better episodes. Most episodes never got a reaction out of me, and fewer ever got me to think about the ethics of the situation they'd just showed. They managed to do both with Tuvix.

"Captain I have all of Neelix's knowledge of this reason as well as Tuvok's knowledge of this ship, its systems, and Starfleet Tactical Training. I am one person, they are two - which means that I will be easier to care for and less of a drain on resources. In this case the needs of the one are the needs of the many: my survival. Neelix and Tuvok are still alive in me."

"If you let me live, I'll give you a dollar."

"Please don't kill me."

Pull a 'Back to the Future' .. "Wait Captain, there's just one thing you're forgetting. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT !?!?!".. Run away when everyone looks behind them.

"I owe some very easily pissed off Kazons money if I'm not alive to pay them bad things will happen."

"Captain Robau is a friend of mine, and I saved his ass more than once kill me at your own peril."

"I've set a number of explosive devices on several crucial spots in this ship. They will detonate if I don't re-set each timers at random generated intervals. I may be late even now. In all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But you've got to ask yourself one question, Captain: do you feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"

"I knocked up both the Delanne Sisters! ...They'll have my litters... You don't want to murder the beloved father of almost 40 children do you?"

(If Janeway hadn't had left Tuvix in a yolke 24/7, doing the jobs of two men, then maybe he would have had time to find a girlfriend? There was 1 child, produced from 30 breeding pairs in seven years. That has to be Janeways fault that she didn't set time aside in the crew roster for anyone to be sexy like any good zoo keeper would for an endangered species.)

Here was a simple solution if possible use the transporter to copy tuvix, he stays alive and neelix and Tuvok come back.

Then the two Tuvix would be arguing over which one of them is murdered and which one is given a free pass, and there's still a Tuvok and a Neelix trapped inside the remaining Tuvix yearning to be free. Of course you'd actually have input form the recovered Tuvok and Neelix as to if it's any good being inside Tuvix, but if they agree with Janeway (neelix actually did years later in Riddles when neelix convinced Tuvok to recover his misplaced identity even if it meant the murder of his current cake making personality.) that it's shite being Tuvix, then that Tuvix would be split too, and then what do they do with two Neelix and two Tuvok? Were the Neelixes expected to share Kes? left and right, top and bottom or timeshare? Was one of the Tuvoks expected to be demoted from their job as second officer, tactile officer and security chief? And then they all fight over personal effects?

Farscape managed to keep it going with two John Chrictons for at least 6 episodes... Meanwhile Riker phasered his clone dead stating that the universe wasn't large enough for two Will Rikers" before it had even crawled out of the bacta tank.

If it was easy to replicate crewmen however, then why did any one ever stay dead that they didn't a replacement waiting in the wings in data storage? And why wait for crew to die before tapping their clones for duty shifts?

Sure they replaced Kim with a quantum duplicate, but it's not like he was a real person to begin with.
