Are you getting ready, Enterprise day coming soon....

The American system works around how dates are spoken.

If I see 13/01/1970

I might say:
"The Thierteenth of January Nineteen Seventy" or "January the Thirteenth Nineteen Seventy"

The point is, is make sense to put them in order of size when writing

The best way is to write 1970/01/13 23: 42, that is YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM

But I would still say the date as either:
"The Thierteenth of January Nineteen Seventy" or "January the Thirteenth Nineteen Seventy"

Like, I’m comfy at my local optima, why do I need to leave it to get to the global optima?

You're on the Internet

I have to admit, I don't really get excited about Enterprise Day - my family observes Captain Picard Day as a much bigger holiday.

The day passed largely unnoticed. It felt like any other day.Like Linus waiting for The Great Pumpkin, I guess there's always next year.

As far as I know, the 'Enterprise Day' thing is something that I made up.
I don't remember it being mentioned anywhere else until I made a thread about it about a year ago for the first time.
I could be wrong though.
(I was being facetious to make the joke about Captain Picard Day. ;) )
