Are there any "real" TARDIS left?

My step-son is having a destination wedding in Scotland this December. I'll be there for 2 weeks and plan to take in some sights.

Are there any police call boxes still standing anywhere? I'll have my 14' scarf knitted by Madame Nostradamus. I'll be looking for a location to take some candid snapshots.

Yeah, unfortunately the police box designs were regional, so the ones in Scotland won't look the same as the London-based iconic TARDIS. There's one in Edinburgh, for example, but it looks more like a green potting shed.

Yeah, the only real DW-style one left is smack in the middle of the country. There's one outside Earl's Court Underground Station in London that's real but from the 1990s.

My wife wants to get to London. This might be worth investing further.

It's in quite a busy area and if you're not paying attention you could easily miss it. The first time I walked past I had to do a double take. It kind of added to the charm.

I seem to remember there's one in Glasgow, and I remember seeing one at a seaside town in Norfolk (but for the life of me can't remember where, I checked Great Yarmouth but can't find anything) but yeah the few around the country won't be exactly the same as the iconic one.

There's also one (defunct?) in Piccadilly that's easy to miss as it's more like a post box. Or even the phone Officer Wibble used in Top Cat!

It´s really VERY easy to miss. Almost as if it has a perception filter, right? ;-) We had to use google maps to find it.

There are loads in Edinburgh. Many are now coffee shops but there are still blue ones dotted around.

There are quite a few in Glasgow city centre, and one in the city's West End.

Their locations are:

Do their doors at least open "out the way"?

The one in London road looks to be in great nick, and to think 50 years ago i was being pushed up and down those two roads in my pram. lol

I think it was refurbished and installed when Barrowland Park was redeveloped in 2014. No idea if it still looks as good.
