Are there any Larry Niven books that would make good movies?

Well, the Draco Tavern stories would be a great basis for a television series, IMO. The way those stories are all pretty-much short and to the point (and often with a nice twist at the end) would be perfect in a one-hour a week time-lot.
Always thought that Footfall or Lucifer's Hammer would make good cable miniseries.
The Mote in God's Eye or Ringworld might make for a good epic movie.

Footfall would be a fun miniseries. As would Mote In God's Eye (but not the crappy sequel)
I'd love to see them try Inferno.
Me too. Actually, I thought I was the only person who remembers that one!
Although it would get a bit disgusting when they get to the part of hell where the advertising people ("immoderate flattery") are. 
Syfy is supposed to be making a Ringworld miniseries, though they had a similar announcement several years ago without anything happening.

^I remember the original announcement and was very excited because this was back in the glory days of the Sci-Fi Channel. Unfortunately, this time around, I worry about this announcement because SyFy is terrible in comparison.
Ringworld Engineers is my favorite of the series partially because it does the most world and history building of the series and I would love to see all of envisioned on the big screen.

I have wanted a "Mote in Gods Eye" movie for forever now. When I first read the story the industry didn't have the tech to do the Moties justice, but they do now. No doubt though, it is viewed as "hard sci fi" and with the action occurring in space on ships, less appealing since the industry pretty much ran the space genre into the ground in the 80's.
But overall I've had some pretty big problems with Niven/Pournelle books in the past - particularly Lucifer's Hammer and Footfall. Would lkely watch if either were produced but not pushing or even hoping for either.

Ahhh, true Niven fans here! I would love to see a a Motie, a Pupeteer and a Kzin on the big screen, as stated the technology is now there. The Footfall elephants would be very interesting as well. An author this imaginative and celebrated should be honored with a big budget project. The world deserves a better feline biped representation than the Kilrathi ala Wing Commander (not Niven I know).
