Are the remastered sets out in Australia?

I just looked on ezydvd.com.au and it said "release date unknown".

It's funny cos here in New Zealand I just found all three seasons in shiny metallic tins on the new release shelf!

Pity they're over $100 (NZ$124.99) otherwise I might've snapped them up.

Yep, they're at JB Hi Fi for 60 bucks each (a relative bargain compared to the original unexpurgated sets which retailed for $120), but they do not contain the original versions, so therefore my wallet stays shut at any price. :shifty:

I went down at lunchand the price has been "revised" down to $80 each, which is comparable to the Aussie price.

I prefer these remastered versions so I'll definitely get these, and won't bother with the old sets.

Sorry to all those that I've offended. :)

I just happened to stumble across them at JB. I think I prefer the mastered version (as opposed to remastered, geddit? Sigh.) but since the older ones were simply impossible to get at a decent price, I got season 2 (already had 1). Every other series except TOS went down to about $45 with the new packaging, but TOS never got that.

Yep they are... I recently decided to purchase them instead of their blu-ray counterparts... Since the blu ray was double the price and i just didn't think it was worth paying that much extra..

But, IIRC, the Blu-Ray versions have the original episodes plus the remastered CGI-enhanced. So for Blu-Ray collectors it's a good deal.
