Are The Prophets Future Bajorans

While am watching DS9, the prophets keep saying "We Are of Bajor" and am wondering if that means more than just they care and protect Bajor.

They live outside our time n space but am sure at somepoint they used to live within it. Are the Prophets a far distance future version of the Bajorans...Lets say they evolved to the form of the Prophets and outside time n space. As more time goes by in whatever way it does from them and they forget about linear time etc and that why they appear to not know what Sisko is talking about the first time they meet him.

I guess it's possible that civilizations beginning a half million years in the past could have theoretically evolved some of their community into energy beings. Though how escapes me, as well as how they would evolve into beings that exist outside time. "We are of Bajor", to me, simply means that they initiated and nutured the evolution of the people of Bajor. Bajorans are humanoid, so I can't make the leap that the wormhole aliens created the life forms, quite. But it is the Star Trek universe! "The Sisko is of Bajor," meatn that he was intimately involved in that ongoing nuturing and care. I guess. :D

The Prophets first encounter with Ben Sisko was apparently designed to allow him to examine his humanity allowing him to get past the heartbreak of losing his wife. As someone mentioned, Akorem in "Accesion" traveled into the wormhole hundreds of years in the past and was "with" the wormhole aliens for all that time before being sent back through, to his life.

The Sisko's mom told him that his trial was not yet complete, or finished. Sounds like they must understand the concept of the beginning of a thing, process, and the end.

If his birth is orchestrated by the Prophets, it could be that he is seen as one of them. Hence also being of Bajor. Also, Sisko becomes one of them in the finale, so that means he has always been there (kosh?) since the Prophets do not know of linear time. So, it could be that the Prophets are evolved Bajorans.

I was considering this myself, that "good" Bajorans become Prophets like a new state of being and part of their natural evolution, while "bad" Bajorans become Pah-Wraiths.

Overall though, I'm glad they did not explain what the Prophets were and for what reason they seemed to be linked to Bajor.

The mystery makes it all the more interesting. No explanations are necessary.
