Are the classic Daleks still trundeling around invading in NuWho?

The way Jack just said that they disappeared one day in the 51st century (one supposes he was talking about home.) I just assumed that the Daleks used several paradox machines to draft ALL of their ancestors from every point in their history to fight in the Time War without castrating neither their own origins nor immediate history garandfatherparadoxing themselves into non-existence...

I make wild assumptions like that all the time.

The way the paradox works is that the Daleks are still there after they are taken surely, so they're both gone while still generating the same good old atrocities we remember and still have to look forward to... Which is how the same Dalek can be taken thousands, if not trillions of times over.

So if everything they ever did still happened, no matter that they were never there, (shut up about the time cracks. No timecracks in the new Universe made at the hight of season 5.) the doctor can laugh his ass off pretending to be afraid of protodaleks, almost cave-Daleks...

A few dozen highschool wood work classes across Cardif can cobble together a hundred or two in maybe a month to the same specs used by the BBC engineers back in the 60s.

The new Daleks suck.

I want to see a Dalek Civil War.

Jack's comment that they dissapeared suggests Time War. It also opens up the idea that some if not all of these old "Dalek invasion of Earth" stories never happened because the Daleks went to fight a greater war instead.

Haven't there been questions in the past about the contradictory nature of some of these "Daleks invade Earth in the year XXXX"? If so, the Time War is a good excuse. Well, it happened once in year XXXX but then they left for the Time War the second time around. In the 9th Doctor's season it was implied that the Time War literally rewrote and reshaped the very existence of the universe.

Interesting thoughts.

It's a question of when they "disappeared" bacl. Not just which century but which millennium... Unless... OH! maybe they didn't just disappear from the 51st cent... If you've been time travelling long enough, we just had a season proving this, brains, bodies and memory build up a resistance to time trying to pull a fast one claiming that things have always been this way.

My bad.

I've been meaning to getting around to watching that.

I have so much who that I got at the same time, that i just gave up and moved onto the next new things i had... But there's a reading of the novelization by Tom Baker from the 70s i had, thinking that it would have to hold place between episodes, when I went to a different source and... I'm not the greatest fan of the fan-reconstructions and I just wish they would just animate the buggers not that I have actually see the cartoon episodes of the invasion.

But how bad could they be?
