Are any Trek Author's going to DragonCon 2010?

Just a quick question to the authors on the board...

I'm planning on attending DragonCon this year and was wondering if any of you had been asked to attend?

I know KRAD was there last year, and I had a great time at his panel. Probably one of the more enjoyable panels all in all.

Just hoping maybe some of you were thinking about going and it hadn't been confirmed yet on the con's page.

Alas, I haven't been to DragonCon in years. One of these days . . . .

Have a good time.

I've attempted on two different occasions (2006 and 2007) to register/apply for Dragon*Con, and never received any response, so all I can figure is that I'm not somebody they want at their con. That, or I sent stuff into someone's spam bucket from which there was no escape.

Since I'm me, #2 is entirely possible.

If I were on the con committee, I'd probably go with option #1. :D

I am scheduled to attend the con and am impressed they have Garrett Wang coordinating the Trek programming track. Sorry to see the standards remain too high for Dayton to be admitted into the club.

I'll be there, as will my first coming, Peter David. I don't think either of us has missed D*C in years....

Will you be participating in any panels or events again, or just for fun?

My friends and I have been looking forward to Jim Butcher attending this year, so we're already planning to spend a lot of time on the literature tracks.

Well, it depends, the first, really good one that has stories by people like me, AC Crispin, Peter David, and Greg Cox is out. The sloppy seconds volume with Keith's taut tale is still forthcoming.

Exactly. The first TALES OF ZORRO anthology has been on sale for some time now.

Now I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the GREEN HORNET book will be out soon. (You're in that one too, right, Bob?)

^Didn't know about the first anthology at all. (I'll try and track it down now)

The Green Hornet sounds great too.

Who's doing publicity for these books?

Other than you guys mentioning it here, I never know this stuff is coming out at all.

Greg, are you planning to attend DragonCon? I'd love a Trek Lit Panel to attend.

Alas, I can't make DragonCon, but I will be at Shore Leave this year.

Yes, Greg, I am also in the Green Hornet book, which is iffy for Shore Leave according to Moonstone. And Techno, the books comes from the tiny publisher Moonstone which does not have a major marketing team. I should point out that their Captain Midnight Chronicles is just shipping, and I have a story in that (and it will be on sale at Shore Leave).

I also wrote a Phantom story for Moonstone, which I am hoping will be out for Shore Leave, although that's iffy as well.

Just got my advance copies of INFINITE CRISIS and FINAL CRISIS, though, so hopefully they will be on stock at Shore Leave.

I've just picked up 52. I'm wondering if the Ralph Dibney storyline got cut. Flipped through it in the bookstore and didn't see any mention of him.
