CBR| HBO Max Announces Aquaman: King of Atlantis Animated Series by James Wan

Official synopsis:

The series begins with Aquaman’s first day on the job as king of Atlantis and he’s got a LOT of catching up to do. Luckily, he has his two royal advisors to back him up -- Vulko, the scholar, and Mera, the water controlling warrior-princess. Between dealing with unscrupulous surface dwellers, elder evils from beyond time and his own half-brother who wants to overthrow him, Aquaman is going to have to rise to the challenge and prove to his subjects, and to himself, that he’s the right man for the trident!

Wan produces through his Atomic Monster production company, with Victor Courtright and Marly Halpern-Graser serving as showrunners.
Courtright as a writer has been working on "ThunderCats Roar" and something called "Pickle and Peanut", but he's been in the animation department on shows like "Mad" and "Yo Gabba Gabba!", so I suspect he'll come more from the animation side, while Halpern-Graser has written for shows like the DC Nation shorts, "Batman Unlimited", "Mad", "Teen Titans Go!" and "Be Cool, Scooby Doo!", as well as recently the features "Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans".

I was really excited about this until I saw it was on HBO Max. Guess I'll have to wait for it to be out on DVD/Blu-Ray/paid streaming.
