April Challenge - 137th Gebirg

[137th Gebirg]

Greetings, all.

It's been a long time since I've been inspired to make a submission for one of the contests here. This month's theme "A New Beginning" reminded me of a concept sketch I drew, probably 26 years ago, when I was about 15 years old, and I decided to revisit it and bring it more into the digital age. I entitled it "On The Eve of The Rite of Survival". I figured the Klingons have all kinds of coming-of-age rituals. It made sense that a young Klingon warrior might be taken out to some remote wilderness world to fend for himself and survive for a week. That's what this one is about. The original concept sketch follows, if any one is interested. Main picture has been sent via email to Ptrope for final submission.

I think there were some extra weapon emplacements on the Bird-Of Prey where you have the 'headlights' in the old ST:TUC poster.
