Appreciating Picardo's cameo in the movie First Contact

Lucy of Nine

Commander
Red Shirt
:techman:

"I'm a Doctor, not a door stop!"

Then offering the :borg: Borg analgesic cream for their implants!

Sure, it was a short cameo but I loved it nonetheless...

I completely agree, right down to Beverly muttering "i swore I would never use this thing" then leaving him to stall the Borg.

His reaction and attempt was priceless :)

It was priceless and worked well. The Janeway cameo in Nemesis also worked well for continuity. Too bad there wasn't more of this in all the Trek series, or other TNG movies.

Ethen Phillips (Neelix) also had a cameo in FC, he was the maiter-de in Pickards holo-novel hiding place.

Yeah. I was gonna mentioned that as well. :) And I loved Picardo's appearence. I literally did a double take when I saw him. He was hilarious!!!!!! :)

I loved the moment. It was a nice little comedy spot within the takeover and a nice nod to what was essentially a TNG replacement series.

Picardo is one of those actors I can watch in just about anything though (even as a Johnnycab), I loved his scenes in Deep Space Nine as well as Zimmerman.

I always forget about this scene when I start watching FC and it always makes me laugh when it turns up.

I don't think the Borg saw the funny side of it though. :borg:

I agree this was one of the best cameos I have seen in any of the Trek shows or movies. It really worked well for fans and I think even someone who had never seen Trek before would have laughed.
