Here is an interesting article about how Cinematical's parent company, AOL, has recently fired its freelance writers and requested that they continue working for free, while the editors have resigned in protest. The article is sarcastic and arguably biased--it's written by one of the fired writers--but it does look as though a lot of weaselly crap has happened in the last few days, and that the Cinematical website will not be the same anymore:
