Anyone know when recent SCE omnibuses will be released in ebook format

Does anyone have any idea when the two most recent SCE omnibuses, Out of the Cocoon and What's Past will be released to ebook format? I didn't pickup quite a few of the last SCE titles and would like to get the omnibus versions for my Kindle. All the previous omnibuses have come out in ebook formats but these two haven't yet. Anymore, it's really sort of strange for the ebooks not to come out at pretty much the same time as the other versions. Out of the Cocoon came out July 20 and What's Past came out August 24 and I don't see any sort of release date listed for ebook versions of either of them.

Has anyone heard anything?

why would they release a dead-tree collection of e-books in e-book format? it seems pointless.

if you want them, why don't you just buy the e-book versions?

Why would they? Mainly because they have all the other ones. Just seems like they would these final two as well.

Why don't I buy the separate ebooks? Let's see 11 or 12 separate ebooks at $5.99 each or two omnibuses at something like $9.99 each. It's simply a financial equation and seems like a no-brainer to me.

But that's just me!

As KRAD said in the recent thread asking the same question about a Slings & Arrows omnibus, they will be published when there's a gap in the schedule that needs to be filled.

^The OP wasn't asking when will the next omnibuses be released; what they were asking is when will the two recent omnibus releases (in paper form) be released as ebooks?

It's not just you I'm doing the same thing on my Nook. I admit I was kinda confused when I saw the omnibuses as ebooks, but it saves alot of money, so I'm not gonna complain.

One problem with the omnibus editions. You lose the nice covers all the individual stories had.

...but you do save about $5-6 dollars, which is useful for buying a different, full length novel! I'm afraid the cost wins out over the covers for me.

Same here. As cool as the SCE covers were, it's not worth the $ difference. Besides, if I want to see what the cover looks I can just look it up on Memory Beta.

I didn't realize that S&S were now charging $5.99 for each SCE/CoE story. At that price, there's no way we'll get new eBooks as they won't sell.

Does S&S want sales or are they going to be sticking to these asinine prices?
