Before I buy a ticket, I wanted to know if this ST convention in Dallas on 10/23 & 24 /2010 is real. I've not seen any other announcements. It's been a long time since I can recall there was a convention here.

Tia Carrere apparently will be there (love her music), so it is a real event.

See if "Fan Days" is mentioned on Shatner's Blog/Twitter, that would confirm his appearance.

Yes, scifiexpo is real. 0do_ital goes to them quite frequently and posts pictures when there's someone Trek-related as a guest.
