A few people who worked in Star Trek's TV shows post here, like Rick Sternbach, as do some Star Trek novel writers, such as Christopher L Bennett.
Apparently The Shatner also posted here once. Or so I'm told.
A few of us are merely famous in our own minds. Far too many of us to mention, really.
And of course, there was Chasegate.

depending how one defines 'famous', there's several authors who post in the Lit forum...
We wouldn't necessarily know if some users are famous but are using anonymous identities. They might enjoy being here just as the average user does, but not want to get stalked by fans. I suspect BBS's are one of the few places where celebrities can have social interactions that are a pleasant escape from celebrityhood.
That said, if any celebrities are reading this and feel a compulsion to let somebody know who they really are... then you can tell me; as I can be trusted

What? A famous person wouldn't necessarily enjoy being anonymous here. It's just a sacrifice that's made for a greater need.
Such a person may enjoy being a regular poster but benefit from anonymity, since they don't have to worry about how it could affect their public image or getting unwelcome attention from crazy fans. Information like that leaking out could ruin the experience of being here for them.
But they're a person first, and a celebrity second. They might want to be here as the first without being here as the second. They don't necessarily want to be here as neither.

But that earlier comment did sound like the sort of comments made by various people I've seen here and elsewhere (including some made by myself) who would want to try and reach out to someone believed to be famous just for the sake of getting to know someone famous - even though that person never intended to benefit from the association to the famous person in any public or other material way. (Believe me, in the Chasegate thread I was as guilty of that sort of thing as anyone else.) I think you didn't intend it to come out that way - and I did take it out of context after all. No offence was intended.
But I agree with what you said - if one can't enjoy being anonymous, how can they get anywhere without the hassle? Heck, I've even tried to keep my own real life identity a secret, divulging the necessaries to people I know I can trust.
And yes, I do also believe and know you can be trusted, Jadzia.
