Anyone else get the Voyager Borg Cube DVD set for Christmas?

I suppose it would make quite a good gift for a Voyager fan, though many out there would already have at least a few seasons on DVD already.

I'm really quite thrilled with this. Voyager isn't my favourite Trek series, but it's fascinating being able to watch the series as it devlops. I haven't seen the early episodes in ten years, and there's a stark difference in some of the characters in Caretaker. Kes actually has a backbone, Chakotay has intensity, Neelix even has a bit of an edge and B'Elanna is downright wild.

Kes and Neelix in particular are toned down even in the second episode, but it's certainly interesting to see how they were first introduced.

I really don't need it, already bought all the season sets when they first came out, but it is nice to go back watch some of the episodes again, and again. Voyager is one of my favorite Trek series!

How is the box set in terms of getting the discs out of there cases and such? mind posting a picture?

Sorry, no camera.

It's an interesting setup - the box is a cube shape (obviously), with seasons 1-5 standing up in a row across the middle, with padding in each corner and seasons six and seven flanking the row. It's a little irritating, since you can't see the spine to know which box is which, so you need to keep them in order...

No..didn't get it..but I have ordered S3 on DVD today so I'm looking forward to getting it soon.

are the discs labeled so you can see which episodes are on them? the box sets had them circling around the center which was annoying because you couldn't really read what episodes were on the disc as easy.

No..they're around the discs like you said..that's annoying too..but I enjoy them nontheless.

Oh, man...those are so annoying. Whoever made the decision to do it that way was having a bad case of the stupids that day.

I think all the people who made most of the DVD sets are just permanently stupid.
