Some of the TNG and DS9 scores are amazing, but they're unreleased. I had a computer problem yesterday and everything but the voice and sfx filled my speakers. It was pretty amazing

No, but it sounds great. I would love to find a recording of the flute song that Picard played in the episode The Inner Light and also played in Lessons. I'm also fond of the score for the Voyager episode Blink of an Eye.

Well, I had some TNG soundtracks back in the day, but I sold them. What this post reminds me of is when I used to record and play audio tapes from episodes before VCRs. I would hear dialogue but the music was very noticeable.

The soundtrack for Encounter at Farpoint is on Spotify. It's not one of my favorites. Some very corny synth stuff going on in the early TNG music.

In general, the only episode scores that I like to listen to on their own are from TOS.

Yes, I have the TOS cds and had quite some fun to find those parts I know and love from childhood. They're on one of my playlists and I listen to them occasionally. Sol Kaplan is great :D and the "romulan agitato" is too. I loved "The chess game" as a child.

As for TNG I'm not a fan of McCarthy (and other TNG composers or the TNG music). Watching an episode only the music sounds like fun though.
