There's something awfully familiar about that fade to black, the blue TNG-style credits, not to mention the music!

I have to say, excepting the credit sequence, I didn't really see the similarity, myself. Pretty much identical shots are done on almost every show, without having to allude to a random episode of TNG.

It would be easier for me to compare if I could hear the music playing with Family Guy.

I think it's purely coincidental, but look at the music credits for Family Guy and that season of TNG.
