Anybody Remember Supremacy?

Davros

Fleet Admiral

Supremacy was a board game from the late 80's that was like Risk on steroids. You had to balance your military, your resources, and economic and technological development. You can have nukes and laser satellites. Corner the market for billions in a cartel with other players. You can sell nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons to neutral warlord nations or pirate fleets. We used to play tons of this game.

I've never played it, but I remember the Board Game Geek guys talking about it extensively. It sounds like an intense game.

It was great fun. With all the classic games that are getting a reworking these days, it would be nice to see this one brought back from the dead.

I'm waiting for Axis&Allies for the 360. :techman:
The AI on the original computer A&A had so many bugs and such a stupid AI, that I never quite learned to love that version. The Avalon Hill Anniversary edition is pretty good. But you would have to set up the game by hand instead of popping in a disk. But I have been an avid Axis&Allies player since December of 1984.

If you're looking for a great A&A game for the computer check out Triple A. It's a freeware version that is extremely similar to the buggy as hell Hasbro version, but it's far more stable, offers online play, and unique modes/maps. Although the AI still sucks.

Triple A.
