Anybody having problems with iTunes 7.7?

I have been hearing reports of serious difficulties with the latest version of iTunes (7.7), mostly relating to iPods which apparently cause it to 'hang' with the Spinning Beachball Of Death whenever they are connected up.

Since I don't need any of the new features 7.7 provides (I have neither an iPod Touch nor an iPhone), I was thinking of just sitting this one out. Do any of y'all use 7.7, and if so, what problems - if any - have you had with it?

I haven't had any so far, but I'm currently running iTunes 7.7 on Leopard, so that might be more issue-free than running it on Vista or XP just by nature of being the same software maker.
