Anybody have a TV/PC Projector?

Does anybody here have a portable TV or PC Projector? Like the $100 to $150 Discovery Expedition Entertainment Projector or the $65 to $100 EyeClops mini-projector? Or some other fairly cheap one?

I have a Netbook, and before I get a USB Video Card to get a dual display on my laptop (control the content on my netbook and display the content on the projector), I need to buy the Projector first so I know what proper connections I need (I'm assuming A/V ports).

Projectors in that price range are likely to be standard definition (sometimes referred to as 480i) with quality that's significantly poorer than what you would normally want for a GUI computer OS, BluRay player or late model video game console.

Late model flat panel TVs might have SD (standard/481i definition) or HD (standard OR high definition/ 720i-720p-1080i) displays. Smaller models tend to be SDTV or HDTV with only 720i/720p capabilities (1080i content displayed as 720i). The numbers refer to the vertical resolution. Connections features vary, but HD operation on HDTVs usually utilizes component or HDMI connections). You might have to look a little harder for the DMI or VGA connections a computer would usually have unless you buy a LCD computer display, many of which lack the HDMI and component connections many cable converters and satellite receivers insist on for HD operation (digital rights management provisions).

The local computer club I belong to has a projector that would work well with most of the sources listed in the previous paragraphs, but it cost several times more than the price range you are referring to. The club's earlier projector (800X600 - still better than the type you are describing) didn't have a high enough resolution for many of the programs we were demonstrating.
