Any shows/movies you consider part of your personal canon?

If Andromeda had been a better show, and actually were a Gene Roddenberry series*, then I would've considered it canon.

In theory, the Federation could've become the Commonwealth.

* Star Trek: The Next Generation was the last Gene Roddenberry series as far as I'm concerned.

Wild Wild West. I'm pretty sure Winona Kirk's maiden name was
"West".

There was a time I would have placed Genesis II/Planet Earth in my canon.

There is a long-standing rumor that Andromeda originally WAS supposed to be in the Trek universe. That's why the obvious Trek tropes are all present.

Some people close to the show support that speculation, others deny it.

I was going to say Batman. Spock's mom, Amanda Grayson was related to one master Dick Grayson, aka Robin.

Farscape. Everything happens in a far off galaxy, so it never affects the Federation, so it is conceivable that it could happen.

Except that Crichton occasionally makes pop-cultural references to Star Trek, implying that it's just a tv series in his universe.

Not related to Star Trek, but I could very easily buy that the Matrix movies (whgere it all stays in the matrix and neo just thinks he gets out) are a sequel to the Terminator movies.

The machines win the war and instead of killing all the Humans they use them as batteries.

I once made that observation here about five years ago, and had the piss ripped out of me as if I had said the most obvious thing in the world.

I was just saying over in the "underrated movies" thread in TV & Media that Terminator Salvation makes a lot more sense as a Matrix prequel than a Terminator sequel...

Really? I thought of it without hearing it anywhere else, although I'm not surprised to know I'm not the only one who's thought the same thing.

I'll add any decent version of ACD's The Lost World, (and particularly thinking of the 2001 Bob Hoskins version - I was watching it today) as it's the definitive "here's where why we need a Prime Directive" story...

I don't know why, but I've been thinking about someday writing a crossover with My Parents Are Aliens. It would be very intriguing indeed if the planet of Valux existed in the Trek universe. And right now a mental image of Brian causing the Enterprise to crash has snuck into my brain. Epic lolage.

When I was a kid, my father gave me a beat up copy of a pulp science fantasy magazine called Incredible Tales. In it was a story called "Far Beyond the Stars." I would include that in my personal canon.

NOTE: There was also a kick-ass gumbo recipe written on the inside cover.

Damn, we need Facebook-style "Like" buttons for posts like this...
