Any place in London to cash an American US Postal Money Order?

Foley04020's thread reminded me about this.

Do any of the UK Trekbbs-ers know of a place to cash a US Postal Money order in London? Or, could it be simply deposited into a UK bank? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Most UK banks will take them as a deposit, although they may charge a fee for one drawn on a foreign currency/bank. Post Offices will also cash postal orders, but I don't know if they'll do non-domestic ones - worth a phone call to your local PO though.

It should be an International Money Order. Only certain countries will that take, and the city if London is one, so I would assume what ever passes for a post office there, would cash it.

Bumping this because I really could use some help!

I haven't found a bank that will cash/deposit an American US Postal Money Order in London. Is there any other option--maybe currency exchange?

Try this, if you're in London you'll be able to find plenty of Post Offices!
