Any new superhero tv shows on the horizon?

I pretty much consider Heroes done, unless they can really come back swinging with a great 4th season, but whether it stays or goes, does anyone know of any other superhero tv projects in the works?

I mean if we can have 3 CSI's (and a dozen more knock-offs) on TV at one time, and just as many Medical dramas and Law & Order type shows, you would figure the audience could handle another superhero type series.

Is anything in the works?

The Human Target, coming in Fall. Based on the DC Comic.

Barely based on the comic. In order to avoid another show like Dollhouse where the lead changes identity every week and is hard to connect with, they've retooled the concept. Instead of Christopher Chance actually disguising himself as the targets of assassination attempts, he just serves as their bodyguard, using assumed identities to get close to them. I'd also hardly call it a superhero show, because the character has no powers or anything. It's just an action show very, very loosely based on an obscure comic book character who was never really a superhero to begin with. (And from the clips I've seen, it's a really, really dumb show.)

The only superhero action I'm aware of on TV today is in animation. We've just had the season premiere of The Spectacular Spider-Man, and we've got Wolverine and the X-Men and Iron Man: Armored Adventures, though those are all on digital cable channels that a lot of people don't get. Plus Cartoon Network has Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Waaah, I want The Middleman back!
