Any ideas on what the running length will be?

Didn't Orci said that the script was 128 paces. So if the rule is one page= one minute. It has to be a least 128 min long.
I am hoping XI will break TMP record as the longest Trek movie ever.

I'm no screenwriter, but I don't think the length of the script is a good barometer of the length of the film. It all depends on what you're filling the pages with.

You're right, of course; it's a "mileage may vary" thing but, as a rule-of-thumb measure, I'm pretty sure I've seen the "1 Page of script = 1 minute on film" given a few times before. Maybe one of the people who's done this a time or two can check in to confirm or deny the accuracy of that rule.

I always feel cheated when a movie runs under 100 minutes. "Cloverfield" was what, 88 minutes? A good story, if a bit jumpy, but way too short. As for the running times of the Trek movies, I was not surprized to read that INS was shorter than most of the others; it felt short. TFF, OTOH, seemed to go on for days...

Any idea how many jelly beans are in this jar?

Given the average jelly bean weighs 0.05 ounces, that's 20 jelly beans per ounce. And assuming the jar holds two quarts, or 32 ounces, I'd say there are 640 jelly beans in the jar. :p ;)

assuming a standard sized jar

And divide the standard Trek film running length by the number of Jelly Bellies on a standard bag, factor in a standard jar....carry the one....

I get a Trek XI runtime of 3.227 jelly beans per minute.
