Any Fans out there of the Galaxy Rangers Animated Series from 1986?

Been watching the DVD’s of the Galaxy Rangers. I got them off of Amazon.com. Does anyone remember this great series? I liked Jerry Orbach as the lead ranger. There was Goose (the Clint Eastwood character), Nikko (the psychic) and Doc Hartford (the computer expert).

Unlike the Transformers the show didn’t have a toy deal so it got canceled after 65 episodes. It’s one of those great 80’s animation classics that you don’t hear a lot about today.

For those who never saw it, the show was a cross between X-Men and Star Trek along with a cowboy attitude towards the villains. The show premiered back in 1986. If you’re a fan of 80’s animation, it’s a show worth watching.:vulcan::klingon::borg::):rommie:

Is Thunderbirds 2086 available on DVD? I never saw any ads for it on the Galaxy Rangers DVD. I didn't see it on Amazon.:):klingon::vulcan::borg:

And to add, was the animation of the same quality as the Galaxy Rangers?

I recall liking Galaxy Rangers when it was first on, but when I revisited it on Hulu not long ago, I found it a lot goofier and cheesier than I remembered, though it had great Tokyo Movie Shinsha animation. So my interest waned after a few episodes.

It's true the plots were silly but the animation was amazing to look at. For 1986 that is. It was one of the first cartoons to use computer animation for robot characters. I was hoping with the release of the DVD's that there would be a direct to DVD movie in the works. However it was just a rumor.:vulcan::klingon::borg:

I liked it back then but I caught some recently and I was not impressed. I had such good memories of it too.
