Any chance they'll do the next series on the J Enterprise?

The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-J was referred to in an episode of Enterprise. What are the chances that they'll do a series on that ship? That might be going further than 100 years after Next Generation because the guy who was telling Archer about it said they were in the 31st century. I hope they have a shapeshifter on board. They've had three series with a Vulcan and three with a Klingon, and they don't have to use expensive special effects to do that. I liked the stop and start with the Ausomorphs when they'd turn into monsters. I'd like to see how that's accomplished. I wish I could go to some studios where they make movies and become an Ausomorph or a Founder. Was there more involved for the actresses who played the Ausomorphs? Someone needs to fix the spell check on this thing so that it'll recognize last names and Star Trek aliens as being correct. I wish I could add those words.
God bless, Jason Irelan

unfortunately that is a very slim chance but it would be nice to have more series on the Enterprise She's a good ship

Man, I really hope not. If there is an Enterprise-J, I hope they redesign it from scratch and forget about that overgrown pizza cutter design.

I'd say the chances of that happening are about 5 billion to 1 ;)

A hideously ugly ship that appeared once in a one off episode of the least popular show yet?

Not happening. Fortunately.

I doubt even the notion that there is an Enterprise J would occur to these people, still less would they build a series around it. Would they even watch Enterprise?

If there's odds available, sure, put a little cash on it. Heck, you could yet wind up being one billionaire on one flabbergasted forum.

Why is everyone so enamored with a ship that was barely more detailed than a Rorschach blot when we saw it? Every picture of it is bad.

Because certain fans love canon porn and if something is mentioned even once it needs to be explored fuller. That Enterprise J should be captained by Naomi Wildman's son/grandson for further continuity and the show should feature the time travel pod seen in A Matter of Time.

Zero! The design is awful, saying it looks loke a pizza cutter isn't even a joke, it really looks like a pizza cutter (with lights).
Enterprise-J also sounds awkward if you say it out loud, at least to me. If they go with another Enterprise they'd probably pick one that sounds nicer like Enterprise-G, K, T, V etc., Enterprise-J, L, N, R, Q etc. doesn't really work (Enterprise-P will be a great choice if CBS ever decides to do a Star Trek skit for an anniversary, the corny jokes write themselves).

I'd say slim to none. However I will admit to getting all sappy when thinking about the history of the Enterprise and it not being in the next series. Regardless - I'm in, and will watch the next series - I'm tired of reality shows. I have reality - what I want it escape

To be fair, the "Enterprise-[insert letter here]" thing is mostly a fan practice. In an actual show it would just be "The Enterprise". The letter wouldn't come up very often, if at all.

That's actually a good point. How often did they actually call the D, the Enterprise-D rather than just the Enterprise?
I really don't see them using the E-J, it's a pretty obscure bit of trivia to build a whole show around.

The shapeshifting effect used for characters like the Alasomorph and the Founders is very common and you could probably find some videos online about how it's done.

In a very real sense, every Enterprise since TOS has the same NCC-1701 registry, with the suffixes being more of a bookkeeping thing.
