Ant-Man and The Wasp in the Avengers?

Rumor is that it will be Nathan Fillion and Eva Longoria-Parker, respectively. (Although, the other way round would be inspired casting!)

I for one think Nathan Fillion is too big for such a small part. I'm not quite sure which Housewife the other one is.

What say you all?

Fillion would be fine, but I believe Joss has already dismissed that. I don't want Longoria anywhere near this movie.

The only Desperate Housewife I'd tolerate would be Teri Hatcher and only then if, in an enjoyable flashback to my teenage years, she gets tied up a lot.

Oh, and she does that thing where she puts her leg on the desk. That was a great title sequence.

The Fillion thing was just a rumor/joke that got way out of hand. It's not going to happen.

Eva Longoria's also said she's not in it. personally i'd be shocked if any more heroes were added. they've already got 6, not including Banner and Coulson.

i'm waiting to find out who the villain is or if Hulk will be the antagonist.

While I don't really expect any more heroes to be added either, I think it would be cool to have more than one woman on the team.

In response to the title question, I read somewhere that director Edgar Wright has said that the Ant-Man film will come after The Avengers and Ant-Man and Wasp won't be in that film, though they could be in a sequel. Unfortunately, I can't remember or track down where I read that, so I can't cite a source.

I just read something on how Ant-Man will not be in The Avengers because Ant-Man comes out after-wards and they want to do an origins story and it wouldn't fit together.

They've done a few cameos for sequels so it's always possible that they might slip in a scene somewhere setting themselves up for a solo origin film.
