I think they did at the opening bit at the wall of the desert planet. I'd have to rewatch.

The rifle is gone from their site.

Semi-Related because it's Anovos, but they've sold out all 3 waves of their Discovery ($9k) and Shenzhou ($8k) models.

Doesn't say how many units per wave. Still that's crazy.

 

Fascinating given the staunch opinion of so many that this is a show nobody watches.

 

Why was it removed?

 

Too rich for my blood but it sounds really cool. I imagine if I actually tried to make one myself that with my skill-set it would cost more than that for sure.

 

Maybe it was revealed early?

 

There was a product page on Anovos' website, I was on there looking at before it was removed.

 

Jeez, at that price you'd think the thing would fire real phaser beams!

 

It's like none of you have seen prop replica collectibles before.

This price isn't unusual for this kind of thing at all.

It isn't meant for for the average consumers, they're made for people who like to display stuff.

 

Guilty as charged. I'm not a collector. Still seems nuts.

 

Good lord. As much as I like Discovery, there is no way I would spend close to $10,000 on merchandise. Some people have more money than sense as my dear mother would say.

I know they had a mistake in their header, it say Phaser Pistol instead of rifle, but I don't think that required an entire take down of the page lmao
