Freeze frame at 47 seconds and it's unmistakable.

William Shatner's face is clearly visible.

It's just like Spock's face in DS9's comet trail.

Thoughts? Trick of the eye or... something more? We know that Abrams is a cunning chap when it comes to such things.

Oh dear some people have been out in the sun too long and are seeing things

Ive just thought of the best way to insert Shatner without popping him in as an Elderly Jimmy magically saved from fate.

Have him appear as a picture of Kirks passed grandfather for who he was named after (mayb he died before he was born), James R Kirk.

Not only does this get him in the film as (a) Kirk it also

A. avoids any script rewrites with the strike (can just be a photo no dailogue and explain later/in books) and

B. Explains how 'best friend' Gary Mitchel got his name wrong on his tomb stone

Could work, then again this could start of another "Gary should be in this film never mind the fact its set with the entire TOS crew so by then hes dead" argument again lol

Unlike Shat, who is definitely NOT in the Bible, and is definitely NOT in the freaking trailer.

Unless, of course, JJ is going to spring a super-duper secret surprise on us and have Shat play Denny Crane in the 23rd Century, just in time to win Best Supporting Actor at the March, 2009 Oscars.
